The BSc in Environmental Management is an integrated, interdisciplinary program that provides the skills, knowledge and tools to identify and assess the qualitative, scientific, and technical components of environmental issues. Students will acquire and apply relevant skills and knowledge in the fields of environmental ecology, atmospheric and ocean sciences, geomorphology, soil sciences, environmental hydrology and remediation. Students will examine global issues through land use planning, global processes, tools for management and decision-making and, will integrate their skills to address environmental issues from a sustainability perspective.
This is a degree completion program, encompassing years three and four of a four-year undergraduate degree. The BSc in Environmental Management is a two year, interdisciplinary program that combines three intensive three-week on campus residencies with online learning at a distance. This blended-delivery model will allow you to complete your degree while continuing to work.
Who It’s For
Those who are interested in doing something about current industry and government actions regarding the environment, who want to become leaders in changing people's actions toward the environment, and who have, or want to have, the ability to understand the full breadth of environmental issues, including their social and economic implications. For those currently in management or striving to become managers and want to pursue further education while continuing to work full time. Those who have completed two years (the equivalent of 60 credits with a minimum 24 credits at a 2nd year level) of post-secondary studies.
Applicants who do not have the formal academic education to qualify for admission may be assessed on the basis of both their formal education and their informal learning, in accordance with the Flexible Admission Policy.
